The artist George Hann was my grandfather on my mother's side and I get many e-mails from all over the world from people who have Georges pictures. All through my childhood we had his paintings on our walls and later as an adult I lived in the same street where George lived and worked. I was a musician then, but seeing his studio and talking with him opened an excitement that has stayed with me, I quickly picked up a paint brush and slowly let go of my guitar." Alan's exceptional eye for colour and unique style that is at once impressionistic and naïve creates truly individual images. Professional for several years now, he has exhibited widely in the UK.
