Landscape features that have been left abandoned and disused have always inspired me. They eventually mould as one with nature with the bare bones of their unified structure being left exposed. This piece centres a round a disused early Victorian, railway track, which in its glory days harnessed the best of steam powered locomotives now it has taken upon a new appearance infested by plant life and organic forms.
I love experimenting with ‘bent perspectives' in order to achieve a purely unique view of the scenes that are inspirational to me. In this painting many colour overlays were applied in order to depict the impact of the changing colours of the land.
